Vertical sundial on the south facade of the house. The sudial contains the inscription:
"Numero non horas nisi serenas"
(I count only clear (sunny) hours). The author of the sundial is an artist and professor at the University of Arts in Belgrade Miloš Ćirić. According to M. Tadić and B. Horvatić, Ćirić did not understand gnomonics, but constructed the sudial by mounting a horizontal gnomon and diligently recording the position of the shadow from hour to hour (in Central European time), once in July and once in August. That's how he got two scales, offset from each other, both approximate, which served him during his summers on Brač. What the sundial showed outside of that period did not concern him. (Source: B.
